New York, NY, April 18, 2002 Art Capital Group, a New York-based art leasing, finance, and exhibition planning company, with a gallery and offices at 980 Madison Avenue, announced today their participation in the upcoming community event, Madison Avenue: Where Fashion Meets Art. Artwork by Art Capital Group artist, Mollie McNealy will be hung in the Gianfranco Ferre boutique from April 29-May 11, 2002.

The third annual event unites sixty of the foremost luxury boutiques with over forty prestigious Madison Avenue art galleries. Each boutique will host in-store exhibitions of artwork that reflects their design philosophies. The participating galleries, as well as the personal collections of the designers are supplying the artwork.

The artwork to be displayed, Passage Series #20, is from Ms. McNealys Passage Series, a group of paintings exploring the passagesthat the next life sends one through- the bright colors, lines, etc.; ones perspective on that certain passage and how one views ones life from different perspectives. Mr. Ferre provided the following insight into his selection of Ms. McNealy's painting, "It was definitely chosen for its immediate and absolute expressiveness, which in my opinion is the most enchanting aspect of contemporary art. Not to forget the color's strength and power: the color of passion, life and energy." Mr. Ferre further explained the appeal that Ms. McNealy as an artist provided him, “She impressed me for the straight and modern emotional power of her works, which also reveals a strong and trained sensibility towards other art forms (photography, ceramics, visual design)."
