Art Capital Group Hosts Exhibition
Abstract and Other: Contemporary Artists
New York, NY, May 29, 2001 Art Capital Group, the preeminent service for museum exhibitions, art leasing and art purchase financing, announced today the upcoming exhibition Abstract and Almost: Contemporary Artists at their gallery space at 980 Madison Avenue in New York City.
The exhibition, which will run from Wednesday, June 13 through August 2001, will feature work by contemporary artist Mollie McNealy, among others. Ms. McNealy works included in the exhibit cover multiple conceptual ideas she has pursued in various series including her most well known, “Lifelines”.
A graduate of Pratt Institute with a Master of Fine Arts in Painting, Ms. McNealys diverse artistic training extends into the realms of visual design, photography and ceramics. She has stated of her work, “My paintings are variations of colorscapes. They take on their own meaning of emotional states of life.” A member of the Womens Art Group, the Artists League, and the West Side Arts Coalition, her paintings have been exhibited in New York at MALO for Madison Avenue: Where Fashion Meets Art, 2001, AIR Gallerys February 2000 show A Survey of Women Artists at the Millennium, as well as other venues around the city. Her work is also held in numerous private collections. Born in 1972, Ms. McNealy lives and works in New York.
