But -- love fashion! -- there's already another must-have. Enter alice + olivia, the new It Girl pants by Stacey Bendet Wiener and Becky Winn. The stylin' designers named the line after their mothers. (Insert nostalgic, "Oh, how sweet!" cooing sounds.)

Sweet? Heck yeah. The low-waisted slacks are made of French, Italian, and Belgian fabrics, lined with patterned silks, and have antique buttons. The signature look? A thick stripe in two colors.

And these are no plebeian trousers. At alice + olivia's premiere fashion show, artists such as Peter Beard, Lulu deKwiatkowski, and Mollie McNealy each painted a pair that were auctioned off at Sotheby's for charity. On January 26, Barneys New York is hosting a launch party for alice + olivia where you can score your very own one-of-a-kind pants custom-painted by one of the artists.

How's that for being a walking piece of art?
